Hi, I'm Guillermo Salas

In order to commit to a process of growth and development, it's important that you get to know your guide. It's one thing to rattle off your achievements but it's another to share the good, bad and ugly of your journey.

Make no mistake, the "shift storm" is here. And I'm devoting my time, talents and resources to helping agents that are just crazy enough to join me to drive massive growth in their business and life during the wild economic times that are coming.

Here's a little about me and why I'm so passionate about helping agents like you build businesses that allow for true time and money freedom.

Growing up, I saw my father struggle as a business owner.

As a young boy, my father came to the U.S. from Puerto Rico and was dropped back two grades due to his lack of grasp of the English language. From that day, he vowed to work hard! However, he was the true E-Myth... always the technician in his business and had no freedom whatsoever. And I saw that take a toll on our personal lives as he embraced the life of a work-a-holic - working late, missing family time and still struggling financially. I vowed to not have the same fate as my father.

The Apple Doesn't Fall Far....

I began my professional career as an attorney for one of the largest firms in the world. Despite my vow to be different, I fell into the same pattern as my father. I became a work-a-holic. I worked late hours and constantly missed family time. A few people even questioned whether my wife, Danielle, was actually married. They never saw her husband around. We had our first son, Joaquin, in 2008. Quickly followed by our second son, Xavier, in 2009. The stability and happiness of our young family was in jeopardy. I knew that I had to make a change.

I Jumped into Real Estate Full-Time,

I had been investing in real estate on the "side" since 2000 and so I thought selling real estate would allow me to achieve a better life balance. I left a cozy six-figure corporate job and so my new career had to work! I had no idea what I was doing as a new real estate agent or father!

Falling into old patterns...

By the end of my first year, I sold 35 homes for about $350,000 GCI. But I was always on my phone, stressed all the time, working 7 days a week and again missing out on the stuff that mattered. I was failing as a husband and father. Old habits die hard. I fell into the work-a-holic pattern again with the jump into real estate sales. Here's me working on vacation. Like many of my colleagues, I took on more in the real estate world and, in doing so, became super unfocused and stretched thin. I created a large real estate team (selling 150-200 homes per year), opened up brokerage offices, did flips and new construction development projects, property management, coaching, etc. But I was clearly failing in the areas of my life that mattered most to me. Have you been there? Have you let your family down by making business a priority over them?

Impactful Moment #1, November 2016, I join Real Estate B-School

I join Real Estate B-School in November 2016...I was working more than ever and was stressed all the time. Something had to give if I were going to succeed in business and life. I joined Real Estate B-School and I learned and implemented the principles of scale and leverage in business from Founder, Lars Hedenborg and the other top minds in the business that make up our group. I made the commitment to build my business in a way where it didn’t rely on me. Most top producing real estate agents and team leaders are slaves to their businesses. They have no freedom whatsoever. That wasn’t going to be me. I had too much on the line.

Impactful Moment #2, we go to Costa Rica for a month in 2018.

Many entrepreneurs chase shiny objects and often times stretch themselves too thin by taking on too many projects/businesses. I was definitely guilty of that! When I took my family to Costa Rica for a month, I learned about Pura Vida. I met an older woman living in what can only be described as a hut with a dirt floor and she was living a full and joyous life. It dawned on me that simplifying things & being more focused would lead to a higher level of happiness and success. I come back and begin streamlining my businesses and life.

Impactful Moment #3, the Covid shutdown...

We are shut down and yet we adapt and business and life continues. I realize that we can operate our businesses in a different way. We love to travel and I want to expose our children to all the richness of the world. A plan to live differently and more fully is hatched! Financial and time freedom had been the goal. What if we could add location freedom too?

I built sustainable systems & empowered my team...

to go from selling 35 homes & working 7 days a week to 200+ homes a handful of years later with me working only 1 day per week. I also got focused and stopped stretching myself so thin with all those other activities and businesses. While it wasn’t perfect, it was intentional. So much so, that I have been living in Spain and running the business from here the past year! I finally have true time, money and location freedom!

The Journey Wasn't Easy & I Made All The Mistakes Possible But Now I Get to Help Others Get There With Less Pain & Struggle

Have you let your family down because of real estate? Are you stressed all the time because of constant deal drama? Are you letting work get in the way of taking care of yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually?

I would often wonder on any given day:

  • When will the time I put into real estate pay off financially?

  • How can I stop working so many hours, especially nights and weekends?

  • How can I find and bring on quality people so I don’t have to do all the work myself?

  • How can I stop working IN my business and start working ON my business?

Have You Ever Asked Yourself Questions Like These?

I ask, because there’s quite a bit of misleading information out there in terms of growing your real estate sales business. Most traditional real estate companies teach you how to sell more homes no matter what the consequences are in your personal life. And you end up working more hours to serve the increased demands of your business.

It’s a formula that doesn’t work if you want to have a life outside of real estate.

I was able to build a profitable, systems driven business that allowed me to step up in the areas of life that mattered most to me. And now you can too!

Knowing precisely how rocky my journey was, how many mistakes I made, I knew I could help others get there in half the time — and with less pain and suffering. And so I decided to pass on the wisdom and insights that I learned along the way.

If you are at the point in your journey where you’ve achieved traditional success and it’s just not giving you the time, money and location freedom you deserve, it’s time to take a different approach.

It’s time to find out what you can do different to build a business worth owning so you have a life worth living.

Let’s Make a Difference Together!
